Life Lessons in Making Bread January 27, 2017 / Category: Uncategorized / Posted by:ddavisco@gmail.com — Making this bread taught me a few things about life and success. — — First, you only need a few ingredients to be successful. Persistence, patience, confidence… and water. — — Know that the beginning will be tough and sticky. And don’t think you’ll see success after the first step. — — But with persistence, things will begin to take shape. — — They all said it would rise by 30 (minutes), but that didn’t happen for me. So I waited… and waited… but just waiting is a waste of time. — — The environment wasn’t warm enough to rise, so I changed the environment (with a space heater). — — It took 4x longer than the internet chefs said, but patience is a virtue. — — But only when I lit the fire did things happen quickly (30 min in the oven). — — Three times I almost quit because at various stages it didn’t look/feel right. — — But I wasn’t about to be defeated by bread, or anything else I want to do. — — And now I’ll eat for days. — Share Post :
